Article Processing Charges (APC)

Transparent publication fees and responsible scholarly publishing for national and international authors.

Publication Fee Policy

METHOMIKA: Jurnal Manajemen Informatika & Komputerisasi Akuntansi, published by Universitas Methodist Indonesia, is committed to ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability in all publication-related charges.

METHOMIKA does not charge authors for manuscript submission. An Article Processing Charge (APC) applies only to manuscripts that have been formally accepted for publication. Different publication fees apply to national and international authors, as detailed below.

Article Processing Charges

Publication charges apply only after formal manuscript acceptance. All amounts are expressed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) or United States Dollars (USD).

1. Manuscript Submission Fee

METHOMIKA does not impose a manuscript submission fee. National and international authors may submit manuscripts through the official Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform without making any payment at the submission stage.

2. Article Publication Fee

METHOMIKA applies different article publication charges for national and international authors. The publication fee is payable only after a manuscript has been formally accepted following editorial evaluation and peer review.

These charges contribute to the management of accepted manuscripts, editorial administration, publication preparation, and dissemination of scholarly articles. Payment does not influence peer review outcomes or editorial decisions.

3. Payment Stage and Procedure

Article Processing Charges become applicable only after the editorial team has formally accepted a manuscript for publication.

Following acceptance, authors will receive payment information through the journal's official editorial communication channels. Authors should verify payment instructions before completing any transaction.

International authors should contact the editorial office for information regarding the available payment methods and procedures for international transactions.

4. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based exclusively on scientific merit, originality, methodological rigor, relevance to the journal's Focus and Scope, reviewer evaluations, and compliance with publication ethics.

Payment of the Article Processing Charge does not guarantee manuscript acceptance, favorable peer review, accelerated editorial processing, or publication in a particular issue. Financial considerations must not compromise the journal's editorial independence.

5. Rejected and Withdrawn Manuscripts

Since METHOMIKA does not charge a submission fee, authors are not required to pay an Article Processing Charge for manuscripts that are rejected before acceptance.

Authors who wish to withdraw a manuscript should submit a formal request through OJS or the journal's official communication channels. Any financial questions concerning a manuscript that has already been accepted should be clarified directly with the editorial office.

6. Fee Waivers, Refunds, and Special Arrangements

Authors who require clarification regarding publication fees, possible fee waivers, refunds, or other financial arrangements should contact the editorial office.

Any special financial arrangements are subject to the journal management's applicable policies and approval. No fee waiver or refund is automatically guaranteed under this policy.

7. Open Access and Reader Charges

METHOMIKA is an open-access scientific journal. Readers may access and download published articles freely through the official journal website without paying subscription or article access fees.

Article Processing Charges are separate from reader access fees. Payment of the publication fee supports the journal's publication activities but does not restrict readers' access to published research.

8. Transparency and Fee Updates

METHOMIKA is committed to maintaining transparency regarding submission and publication charges. Applicable fees are publicly stated to assist authors in planning their manuscript submissions.

The editorial team may update publication charges when necessary. Any revisions to the fee structure should be announced through the official journal website and clearly communicated to prospective authors before they incur the relevant charges.

Full English Publication Policy

Effective from Volume 11, Number 1 (April 2027), manuscripts intended for publication in METHOMIKA must be written entirely in English. Editorial correspondence, peer review comments, author responses, and scholarly discussions must also be conducted in English.
