Attribution (BY)

Users must provide appropriate credit, retain applicable copyright and license notices, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether changes have been made. Attribution must not imply endorsement by the original authors or the publisher.

NonCommercial (NC)

The licensed material may not be used for purposes primarily intended for commercial advantage or monetary compensation without additional authorization from the relevant copyright holder.

No Additional Restrictions

Users may not apply legal restrictions or technological measures that legally prevent others from exercising permissions granted under the license.

Important: CC BY-NC 4.0 does not impose a ShareAlike requirement. Adaptations may be distributed under compatible terms, provided that the original material remains subject to CC BY-NC 4.0 and all applicable license conditions are respected.

6. Author Rights and Redistribution

Authors retain the right to use, reproduce, and distribute their own published work, subject to applicable publication terms and third-party rights.

Authors may enter into additional nonexclusive arrangements for the distribution of their published work, including:

  • Depositing articles in institutional repositories.
  • Sharing articles on personal academic websites.
  • Distributing articles through academic networks.
  • Including the work in scholarly collections or books, subject to applicable rights.
  • Using the work for teaching, research, and other lawful purposes.

Subsequent distribution must acknowledge METHOMIKA as the original place of publication and must not revoke existing rights granted under the Creative Commons license.

7. Self-Archiving Policy

Authors may archive and share the published version of their articles in repositories and scholarly communication platforms in accordance with the applicable license.

When depositing a published article, authors are encouraged to include:

  • Full author names.
  • Original article title.
  • Journal title and publication details.
  • Volume, issue, and publication year.
  • Article DOI or original URL, if available.

8. Commercial Reuse and Additional Permission

The CC BY-NC 4.0 license does not automatically authorize commercial reuse of published materials.

Individuals or organizations wishing to use an article outside the scope of the license must obtain appropriate authorization from the relevant rights holder.

Additional permissions do not alter the Creative Commons rights already granted to the public. Applicable copyright exceptions and limitations remain unaffected.

9. Third-Party Copyrighted Materials

Published articles may contain third-party materials, including photographs, figures, tables, datasets, illustrations, software, and research instruments.

Such materials are not automatically covered by the article's CC BY-NC 4.0 license when separate rights or restrictions are indicated.

Authors must obtain required permissions and provide accurate copyright acknowledgments. Users must respect the rights applicable to third-party materials.
