Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Kinerja Pegawai Berbasis Dynamic KPI pada PT Sanata System

Abstract

The employee performance evaluation process at PT Sanata System currently relies on manual monthly and quarterly calculations by the head of division using Microsoft Excel and Word. This conventional process triggers a heavy administrative burden, a high risk of human error, and a static (hard-coded) evaluation structure that is difficult to adapt to dynamic divisional performance assessment needs. This study aims to develop an employee performance management information system based on dynamic KPIs to automate and improve the flexibility of performance evaluation processes. The research adopts the Design Science Research (DSR) approach, while the system is developed using the Waterfall software development model consisting of analysis, design, implementation, and testing phases. The resulting system is a web-based application developed using the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The main feature developed is a dynamic KPI module based on a self-referencing relationship database architecture, integrated with a master-detail form that facilitates simultaneous input of main indicators (parent) and sub-indicators (child). The system is also equipped with auto-validation functionality to ensure a total KPI weight of 100% and snapshot logic to preserve historical evaluation data integrity. Functional testing was conducted using black-box testing, including boundary value analysis on the KPI weighting feature, which achieved a 100% pass rate. Meanwhile, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) obtained an average score of 4.76/5.00 (95.2%). The results indicate that the proposed system is capable of supporting flexible KPI management while maintaining the consistency of historical performance evaluation.
