REFLEKS FONEM VOKAL BAHASA PESISIR SIBOLGA

Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify the reflection of vowels phoneme of Pesisir Sibolga languages. This study applies qualitative top-down approaches. Observation and questioner are applied. This study has 6 participants. This study finds vowels are inherited linearly in the beginning, middle, and last position of a word and the process of vowels innovation in the middle and last position of a word. Vowels are inherited linearly: a (in the beginning, in the middle, and in the last position), i (in the beginning, in the middle, and in the last position), u (in the beginning, in the middle, and in the last position)) and the process of vowels innovation: a (in the middle and in the last position), i ( in the middle), e (in the beginning and in the middle), u (in the middle).
