FAKTOR PENYEBAB PUTUSNYA PENGOBATAN PASIEN TUBERKULOSIS PARU DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM DAERAH DELI SERDANG LUBUK PAKAM TAHUN 2015

Abstrak

Background : Tuberculosis is an infectious disease which remains a health problem in the world nowadays.
Incomplete TB treatment can cause the disease is not cured, or even become severe. Besides the possibility of
transmitting the disease to others, it can be more difficult to be cured. It is possibly caused that germs become
resistant, so it needs a more powerful and expensive drug. If a drug resistance happened, it takes longer time
to heal and has a high risk of transmitting resistant germs to others.
Methods : The study was an analytic research with cross sectional method, which is a plan research to
conduct direct measurement. The aim of this study is to determine the treatment rupture patient in RSUD
Lubuk Pakam, Year 2015. The subject of this study was 30 people by using purposive sampling technique.
Purposive sampling is included in the sampling, it is not random.
Results : Feeling recovered is the factor of rupture causes of pulmonary tuberculosis in RSUD Lubuk
Pakam. It is evident where the majority of respondents feel that they have been cured and does not come
again for treatment as many as 23 people (76.7%) and does not take the medicine again for 2 months because
of feeling better and does not feel the symptoms such as fever, cough with phlegm and chest pain, so they do
not come back for treatment as many as 17 people (56.7%).
Conclusion : From the result of the study, it can be concluded that the factors causing rupture treatment in
RSUD Lubuk Pakam is feeling better. It is expected to provide pulmonary TB health promotion and improve
the quality of health services to the people.
