Perancangan Sistem Informasi Pengarsipan Surat pada Bank Sumut KCP Talun Kenas Berbasis Web

Abstract

Manual letter archiving management is still a major obstacle to administrative efficiency in many institutions, including Bank Sumut KCP Talun Kenas. This internship activity aimed to design and develop a web-based Letter Archiving Information System (SIPAT) as a digital solution to problems related to semi-manual recording, document loss risks, and slow archive retrieval. The methods used included direct observation, problem identification, literature study, and user-based system design. The system was developed with features such as login authentication, incoming and outgoing letter management, data searching, graphical reports, and Excel export. The results show that SIPAT can accelerate archive retrieval, minimize recording errors, and improve data security through role-based access control between administrators and users. This system is expected to support the digital transformation of administrative processes within Bank Sumut.
