Analisis Kebutuhan dan Perancangan Sistem Informasi Administrasi HMJ Matematika UNIMED Berbasis Web

Abstract

Student organizations play an important role in supporting student activities and developing leadership skills within universities. However, the administrative management process in the Mathematics Student Association (HMJ Matematika) at Universitas Negeri Medan still faces several challenges, including decentralized data management, inefficient information dissemination, and limitations in managing organizational archives and student aspirations. This study aims to analyze the system requirements and design a web-based organizational administration information system for HMJ Matematika UNIMED to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational management. The system development process adopted the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using the Waterfall model consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. The system design utilized the Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) approach through several UML models, including Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, Class Diagram, and Sequence Diagram. The developed system provides several features such as organizational profile management, activity information, news publication, alumni data, document management, and student aspiration services. Functional testing using the Black Box Testing method indicated that all system features operated successfully according to the predefined requirements. The proposed system is expected to support administrative activities and improve information accessibility for students and the public.
