Abstract

Background : In everyday life and in medical practice, pain complaints are often the main complaint or as an additional complaint that brings the patient to seek treatment. Treatment can vary from relatively easy to very difficult to treat. If the cause is traced, the etiology of pain complaints is very diverse, from pain that can be directly detected by the cause, to pain whose etiology is difficult to find. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the reduction of pain in patients with Hernia Nucleus Pulposus.

Methods : The research method used is Literature Review, using secondary data. Data were collected using documentation techniques. The research journals used were 7 journals with the inclusion criteria of the publication date of the last 5 years.

Conclusion : There is a relationship between factors that influence the success of physiotherapy such as patient characteristics (age, BMI, and physical activity), regularity of therapy, and duration of therapy with pain reduction in Hernia Nucleus Pulposus patients.
