Abstract

Background : Diabetes mellitus is a global health problem that is closely related to metabolic and cardioserebrovascular diseases. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is often diagnosed after the patient has an increased risk of macrovascular and microvascular complications because hyperglycemia develops gradually and the classic symptoms are not clear.

Methods : This type of research is a study using the literature method or (literature review).

Instrument: This study uses secondary data in the form of publication data obtained from database searches.

Results: From several research articles it was described that there was a relationship between fasting blood glucose levels and uric acid levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
