GAMBARAN KEMATIAN PADA KASUS LUKA TEMBAK DI INSTALASI KEDOKTERAN FORENSIK DAN MEDIKOLEGAL RSUD DR. PIRNGADI MEDAN TAHUN 2010 – 2015

Abstract

Background: Gunshot wound is a global criminal problema gunshot wound is caused by the penetration of
bullet against the human body. It causes physical injury. This research aims to study an overview of death
caused by gunshot wounds in the Forensic Department and Medicolegal of Dr. Pirngadi Hospital Medan
2010-2015.
Method: This research is a descriptive study with a sample of 40 total sampling method. Data obtained from
the medical report (Visum et Repertum) based on gender, location of injury and features of injury in the
Forensic Department and Medicolegal of Dr. Pirngadi Hospital Medan. Secondary data is used and obtained
from Visum et Repertum and analysed manually.
Result: 30 persons male (75%) had gunshot wound, 18 persons (45%) had gunshot wound in the head, and
star shaped wound 18 persons (45%).
Conclusion: Based on this research it is concluded that victims were males from 2010-2015 and location of
injury in the head and star shaped injury in the Forensic Department and Medicolegal of Dr. Pirngadi Hospital
Medan.
