Abstract

Koding Akademi faces increasing difficulty in managing a rising number of job applicants through manual selection, a process that is both time-intensive and inconsistent. This research developed a web-based recruitment system equipped with an automated CV screening feature powered by AI rule-based logic, constructed using Laravel 12, PHP 8.2, MySQL, Blade, and Tailwind CSS. Four key innovations distinguish this system from previous studies: HR staff can independently adjust criteria weights for each position through the web interface without programmer assistance; applicants can register and apply online from any location; screening scores are automatically computed within one minute after form submission; and applicants can monitor their selection results in real-time through a personal dashboard. The system evaluates candidates on nine criteria across 14 job positions, with a passing score of 70. Black box testing on 8 modules through 30 test cases produced a 100% success rate. Rule validation testing on 60 candidate data yielded 88% classification accuracy, where 36 applicants passed and 24 did not. The system reduced the screening process from an average of three working days to just one minute, while ensuring objectivity and consistency in candidate assessment.
