Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is currently one of the global health threats due to its increasing prevalence and morbidity. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is often affected by an unhealthy diet, bad habits, stress, and lack of physical activity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between diet and physical activity on blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Medan Tuntungan Health Center for the May-June 2025 period. The type of research used is observational analysis with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at the Medan Tuntungan Health Center with a sample of 60 people with purposive sampling techniques. Analysis using the chi-square test showed that there was a relationship between diet and blood glucose levels (p value =
0.000) and physical activity and blood glucose levels (p value = 0.000).
