Various other factors including protein deficiency, vitamin D deficiency, deficient calcium intake, BMI, gender, age, as well as race, all pose a risk for osteoporosis.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Objective</em></strong><em>: This study was conducted to determine how physical activity and smoking habits are related to the incidence of osteoporosis in elderly </em></p> <p><strong><em>Method: </em></strong><em>This research method is an observational analytic study using a case control design, using a questionnaire instrument. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire with validity and reliability tests. The population for this research was 38 pregnant women at the Salak Community Health Center, Pakpak Bharat Regency. Data analysis techniques consist of univariate and bivariate. Data analysis used the chi-square test.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Results :</em></strong><em> The results of the research showed that 16 pregnant women had good maternal knowledge (42.1%), 14 pregnant mothers had good category family support (36.8%), 14 pregnant mothers had the good category of the role of health workers (36,8%), and stunting prevention behavior in the good category was 16 pregnant women (42.1%). The results of the chi-square statistical test showed that knowledge (p-value was 0.015), family support (p-value was 0.038), and the role of health workers (p-value was 0.038) with stunting prevention behavior in&nbsp;pregnant&nbsp;women.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Conclusion :</em></strong><em> There is a significant relationship between knowledge, the role of health workers and stunting prevention behavior at the Salak health center, Pakpak Bharat Regency. According to data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2013, 25.8% of people in Indonesia aged over 18 years experienced hypertension and this increased to 34.1% in 2018. Smoking is a factor that influences the development of hypertension. Apart from smoking, BMI is a factor that contributes to the development of hypertension. </em></p> <p><strong><em>Objective </em></strong><em>: To determine the relationship between smoking and body mass index on hypertension at the Sei Semayang Community Health Center, Deli Serdang Regency.</em></p> <p><em>Method: The research carried out was analytical research using an observational approach with a cross-sectional design, using the Spearman test to assess the relationship between variables. The sample for this study used the Slovin formula, namely 56 hypertension patients at the Sei Semayang Community Health Center, Deli Serdang Regency in July 2024.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Results</em></strong><em> : The results of the study using the Spearman test, showed that there was a relationship between smoking and hypertension in respondents at the Sei Semayang Health Center in July 2024 (p = 0.031 (p &lt; 0.05)) and there was a relationship between Body Mass Index and respondents' hypertension at the Sei Semayang Health Center in July 2024. 2024 ( p = 0.001 (P&lt;0.05)). </em></p> <p><strong><em>Conclusion</em></strong><em> : There is a relationship between smoking and hypertension at the Sei Semayang Health Center and there is a relationship between Body Mass Index and hypertension at the Sei Semayang Health Center in July 2024 among respondents.</em></p> Mischkel Adam E.G. COVID-19 is transmitted via droplets, both direct and indirect contact. This case first started in Indonesia on March 2 2020, as of December 31 2020, it is known that in Indonesia there were 743,198 cases with 109,963 active cases. At the beginning of the pandemic, there were difficulties in diagnosing COVID-19 due to the limited availability of PCR machines, so research was carried out on the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio as an indicator for diagnosing COVID-19 cheaply and quickly.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Objective :</em></strong><em> To find out whether there is a relationship between increasing RNL and severe COVID-19 at the Bhayangkara Tk II Hospital, Medan City, 2020 – 2023.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Method :</em></strong><em> The type of research used was observational analytical measurement research, with a cross sectional design involving a sample of 222 COVID-19 patients.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Results :</em></strong><em> From the results of the hypothesis test regarding the relationship between an increase in the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and the severity of COVID-19 using the chi-square test, it was found that the value was [X2 Calculation 34.44 &gt; X2 Table 0.05(1) 3.841; RP 2.1; CI 95%; 1.6268 – 2.9199].</em></p> <p><strong><em>Conclusion :</em></strong><em> There is a relationship between increasing Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio values ​​and severe COVID-19 at Bhayangkara Tk II Hospital, Medan City.</em></p> Megaria Pangaribuan, Ronald T.H Tambunan, Maestro B.U. The increase in DM sufferers continues to increase so it is of special concern. The use of oral hypoglycemic drugs and insulin is the goal of therapy for DM sufferers. However, undesirable side effects often occur. Many people use plants as medicine. One of the medicinal plants that has antidiabetic properties is fragrant pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.).</em></p> <p><strong><em>Objective</em></strong><em>: to understand the impact of wangi pandan leaf extract (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.) on reducing blood sugar content in male mice (Mus musculus) in a model of diabetes mellitus that has been induced by alloxan.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Method:</em></strong><em> This observation includes True Experimental research with a pre test design and post test control group design. Insulin resistance that is due to obesity is the one of the main pathology of metabolic syndrome and one of the risks that increases the possibility of type 2 diabetes is high intake of saturated fatty acids (HFD). Therefore, this study explores the effect of giving HFD for 30 days on blood glucose. </em></p> <p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong><em>Subjects and Methods: </em></strong><em>This was a posttest only controlled group design study conducted in Universitas Methodist Indonesia with a total of 30 rats were divided into 6 groups. The rats will go through adaptation for 14 days. After adaptation, the blood glucose of the rats will be measured and then the mice will be given HFD for 30 days. During the HFD administration, the blood glucose of the rats will be measured every week for 4 times.</em></p> <p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong><em>Results: </em></strong><em>Blood glucose did not increase after high-fatty diet administration for 30 days. The independent variable HFD, and the bound variable is blood sugar levels. The high incidence of cancer in Indonesia is due to the lack of public awareness in recognizing the risks and symptoms early on. In this prevention, knowledge is very influential, which is a very important domain and a person's attitude. Prevention efforts will affect behavior or actions in good and correct prevention so that maximum and sustainable results are obtained. <strong>Objective: </strong>The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between education levels and knowledge, attitudes and actions of mothers' groups about breast cancer prevention in Perwiritan Amaliyah Dusun VII Payageli Village. <strong>Research Method: </strong>The type of research used was analytical research with a cross-sectional design. The number of samples required is 34 respondents. The analysis of this study used the Spearman Rank test. <strong>Results: </strong>From the results of this study using the Spearman Rank test, there is a relationship between education level and knowledge of breast cancer prevention with a p-value = 0.008 (p &lt;0.05) with a correlation coefficient value (r) = 0.449. There is a relationship between education level and attitudes towards breast cancer prevention with a p-value = 0.004 (p &lt;0.05) with a correlation coefficient value (r) = 0.449.
