Abstract

ABSTRACT

Chronic pharyngitis is an inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa that persists for a long time and often occurs in individuals of productive age. One of its risk factors is a modern dietary pattern characterized by high consumption of fast food, processed foods, and preserved beverages, while balanced nutritional intake is often neglected. Excessive consumption of fast food can cause irritation of the pharyngeal mucosa. Therefore, research on the relationship between fast food consumption and the incidence of chronic pharyngitis is important to conduct, particularly in the Kabanjahe area, as an effort toward disease prevention and control.
