Abstract

Background: Hyperuricemia is a metabolic disorder characterized by abnormally high levels of uric acid in the blood. Dietary factors that contribute to increased serum uric acid levels and the development of gout include increased intake of sugar, alcohol, and purines. The purpose of this study was to prove the effect of high-fat diet (HFD) on uric acid levels in mice.

Subjects and Methods: In this study, 30 mice were divided into 6 groups. The mice will undergo adaptation for 14 days and then be given HFD for 30 days.

Results: Uric acid did not increase after being given HFD for 30 days. from the results of the ANOVA test, the p value> 0.05 indicates that there is no difference between groups.

Conclusion: Giving HFD for 30 days has not been able to effectively increase uric acid
