Abstract

Human Papilloma Virus is the cause of cervical cancer that develops in the cervix or neck of the uterus. One of the malignant diseases that can be fatal is cervical cancer. Education is an effort to shape personality and hone one's life skills both inside and outside the classroom. Even though they do not smoke, women who inhale cigarette smoke (passive smokers) exhaled by other smokers can also get cervical cancer. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between education levels on cervical cancer and to determine the relationship between smoking habits and cervical cancer. Research method: The methodology used was an observational cross-sectional analytical measurement study. Results: The results of data analysis using the Chi-Square test obtained a significant relationship (p = 0.001) between education levels and the incidence of cervical cancer. Based on data analysis using the Chi-Square test, there was a fairly strong correlation (p = 0.005) between smoking behavior and the incidence of cervical cancer. The results of the statistical test showed a strong correlation between smoking behavior and the incidence of cervical cancer (p = 0.018), which is in accordance with research conducted by Nurlelawat et al. in 2018. Conclusion: The research results found a significant relationship between Education Level and Smoking Habits with the incidence of Cervical Cancer.
