Abstract
HIV is still a major problem in global health, in 2022 there will be around 39 million people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and there will be around 630,000 who will die from HIV/AIDS, in Asia Indonesia has the highest level of HIV/AIDS cases. One of the opportunistic infections The most common disease in Indonesia is tuberculosis which is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Objective: To determine the relationship between CD4 levels, Hb count and leukocytes of adult PLWHA with opportunistic pulmonary TB infections confirmed by BTA (+) as well as identifying and knowing data on the characteristics of HIV/AIDS patients. Research Method: This research uses the chi square test by observing secondary data in the form of medical records with a total sampling technique. Results: From the results of the research, age 18 – 35 years (61.5%), male gender (66.2%), CD4 level <500 cells/mm3 (49.2%), low Hb (anemia) (61.5%), leukocytes < 4500 (53.9%), and HIV TB (53.8%). There is a relationship between CD4 and Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection p - value <0.05 (Chi - Square count 8.301). There is a relationship between the amount of Hb and Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection p - value <0.05 (Chi - Square calculated 10.920). There is a relationship between the number of leukocytes and Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection p - value <0.05. (Chi – Square count 12,644). Conclusion: From the results, it was found that there was a relationship between CD4 levels, Hb count, and leukocytes in adult PLWHA with opportunistic pulmonary TB infection confirmed by BTA (+) at RSUD Dr. Pirngadi Medan in 2022.
