A Hubungan Kadar HbA1c, Indeks Massa Tubuh dan Tekanan Darah dengan Penyakit Neuropati Diabetik di RSU Vina Estetica Medan Tahun 2023

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a state of hyperglycemia where hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) increases beyond normal limits which occurs due to failure of insulin secretion and insulin action in pancreatic beta cells. Measurement of HbA1c levels is carried out every 3 months both to see the results of therapy and plan changes in therapy to reduce the incidence or slow the progressivity of diabetic neuropathy evens. In addition, Body mass index (BMI) and blood pressure measurements also need to be controlled because hyperglycemia is also often accompanied by other metabolic syndromes in patients. Objective : the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between HbA1c levels, body mass index and blood pressure with diabetic neuropathy.Research method : the type of research used is observational analytic measurement research, with a cross-sectional design.Conclusion : the results of the study found a significant relationship between HbA1c levels, body mass index and blood pressure with diabetic neuropathy. With HbA1c levels having the most significant influence on the incidence of diabetic neuropathy.
