Abstract

Gastritis is an inflammatory condition of the stomach wall which can cause various symptoms and health complications. Although gastritis can affect anyone, it does not always show obvious symptoms, and some individuals may have the condition without realizing it. Therefore, it is important to increase public awareness regarding the symptoms of gastritis and encourage seeking medical help as soon as symptoms appear. Factors causing gastritis involve Helicobacter pylori bacterial infection, use of certain medications, excessive alcohol consumption, and exposure to stress. Treatment for gastritis includes changes in lifestyle and diet, including avoiding certain types of food and reducing smoking and alcohol consumption. Medical therapy can involve administering drugs aimed at reducing stomach acid production or treating H. pylori bacterial infections. Epidemiological data show that gastritis has a significant prevalence throughout the world, with the highest incidence rates recorded in several countries. This condition has a substantial health impact, requiring collaboration from the medical side and the community in treatment and prevention efforts.
