Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2). Where the severity of Covid-19 is a determining factor for treatment and prognosis where the severity can be checked by various tests, especially the Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the ratio of neutrophil lymphocytes and D-dimer with the severity of Covid-19 sufferers. This research is a quantitative analytic research with a cross sectional approach. The results of the study were that the population of this study were all Covid-19 patients who had medical records for D-dimer examination and Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio, a sample of 32 patients. Data were obtained from medical records and analyzed using Chi Square where the significance level was p <α (0.05). The relationship between the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and the severity of COVID-19 can be seen from p (sig) 0.452 < α (0.05). The relationship between D-dimer and the severity of COVID-19 can be seen from p (sig) 0.041 < α (0.05). According to the results of the study, there was no relationship between the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and the severity of COVID-19, but there was a relationship between D-dimer and the severity of COVID-19.
