Abstract

Nowadays, many teenagers like fast food or fast food. Teenagers who have high social activity tend to show interaction with their friends. In big cities, you can often find groups of teenagers eating together in places that provide fast food. According to the Ministry of Health, adolescents are the age group from 10 years to 19 years old. A person's lifestyle is reflected in their daily behavior, what they do and what they consume. This forms a healthy or unhealthy lifestyle depending on the individual. In recent years, health problems related to diet have emerged in all countries, not only developing countries but also developed countries have dietary health problems. Fast food is food that is classified as high fat, high sodium, high sugar but low in fiber and vitamins. This research is a type of quantitative research with a research design using correlation studies. The data obtained from the research results were 46 respondents, using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire given to female students at SMA-Methodist-1 Medan. There was a significant relationship with increasing waist circumference in female students at Medan Methodist-1 High School before and after the research (p<0.005)
