The presence of Virtual Private Servers (VPS) as a hosting platform has become a major target of cyber attacks, especially attacks Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) and Brute Force attacks can result in major losses in terms of availability and service integrity. To overcome this challenge, this research proposed an approach that integrates Detection Systems Intrusion (IDS) with adopted Intrusion Prevention System (IPS). Honeypot technique. This approach aims to detect and prevent DDoS and Brute Force attacks effectively. Method Honeypots are used to attract potential attacks and analyzes detected attack patterns, while IPS responsible for responding to attacks with implement appropriate protection policies. Testing and evaluation is carried out using realistic attack simulations, as well as live testing in a live VPS environment. Results experiments show that the proposed approach is capable improves VPS security by reducing possibilities success of DDoS and Brute Force attacks, as well as providing faster detection and more effective response to the threat. Thus, this research provides significant contribution in efforts to strengthen security VPS-based infrastructure from increasingly cyber attacks complex and dangerous
