This study aims to analyze the effect of the Current Ratio and Debt Equity Ratio on Return On Equity in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2017-2019. The population in this study consists of food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, totaling 28 companies for the period 2017-2019. The selection of the research sample was determined using the purposive sampling method, where the researcher selected the sample based on an assessment of several characteristics of the sample members that were adjusted to certain considerations. Based on these criteria, the sample taken for research consisted of 12 samples multiplied by 3 research periods. The type of data used was secondary data obtained from publications on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The data analysis techniques used were multiple regression, classical assumption tests, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The research results showed that the F-test significance value was 0.000, where the significance of F < 0.05, meaning that the independent variables (Current Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio) simultaneously influence the dependent variable (Return On Equity). This is indicated by the coefficient of determination (R-Square) value. All independent variables (Debt to Equity Ratio and Current Ratio) can influence Return On Equity by 40.3%, with the remaining 100% - 40.3% = 59.7% explained by other variables or factors.
