Sadness in Selected Songs Lyrics from Westlife’s Album “Coast to Coast”

Abstract

This article analyses Sadness in Selected Song Lyrics from Westlife’s Album “Coast to Coast”. Sadness was chosen as the topic of discussion because the sadness dominates the writers’ feeling listening to the songs. The objective of the study to describe Westlife’s songs and to show sadness in Selected Songs Lyrics from Westlife’s Album “Coast to Coast”. Sadness in Westlife’s songs that to analyse becomes the source of the data. The method of the research is descriptive qualitative. The data are taken from the song’s lyrics. And a method of visiting libraries to find references that have connection with this study. Finally, in analysing the Westlife’s songs, the writers find some sense of sadness like missing best friends, parents, etc. Missing someone is very sad because no one can replace his or her position.
