CONFLICTS IN KEVIN KWAN’S NOVEL THE RICH PEOPLE PROBLEMS

Abstract

The aims of this study are to find out the types of the main character’s conflicts and to analyze factors cause the main character’s conflict. This research applies descriptive qualitative method by applying sociological approach. The result of the research that there are kinds of conflicts. They are types of the main character’s conflict in the internal and external conflicts. It also find some factors cause the main character’s conflict. They are the individual differences, the differences between the interest of individual or groups, and rapid and sudden value changes in society.
