The main focus is to understand the socio-political dynamics of minority ethnic groups in the context of Indonesian democracy, especially related to political participation and the influence of cultural values in political decision-making. Using qualitative descriptive methods, data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation studies of the local Chinese community. Based on the theory of voting behavior that includes sociological, psychological, and rational approaches, the results of the study show the dominance of a combination of sociological and rational approaches. Sociologically, voting behavior is strongly influenced by family and community factors. In the rational approach, economic factors are the main consideration, where voters make rational calculations regarding the candidate's ability to overcome economic challenges. Chinese voters show a tendency to be increasingly intelligent and selective in determining their choice of president, considering the economic programs offered. The study also reveals an increase in political awareness among the Chinese community which encourages more active participation in the democratic process, potentially creating a more inclusive political environment and contributing to the country's economic stability.
Yeremia Elkana Tua Siburian, Rugun Elis Deoktavia Pakpahan, Eko Pranata Sinaga, Halking Halking Copyright (c) 2024 Yeremia Elkana Tua Siburian, Rugun Elis Deoktavia Pakpahan, Eko Pranata Sinaga, Halking Halking https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://ejurnal.methodist.ac.id/index.php/methoda/article/view/3583 Tue, 31 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Rancang Bangun Sistem Smart Parking Berbasis Mobile Menggunakan Mikrokontroler Esp32 https://ejurnal.methodist.ac.id/index.php/methoda/article/view/3622
Most universities manage parking for students and lecturers such as motorcycles and cars. But currently, there are many universities that still use manual methods, Mikroskil University is one of the private universities in Medan City which also still uses manual methods by checking the Vehicle Number Certificate by Mikroskil security officers. This inspection can result in a long queue at the exit of the parking area. In addition, students also have difficulty finding available parking spots in the parking area because there is no system that provides directions to see the availability of parking spots. Therefore, in this study a Smart Parking system was built using the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) system by creating a portal with a QR code scanner and adding a light sensor in each parking spot. The sensor testing results show that the light sensor is able to display the results according to the condition of the vehicle and then send the parking spot data to the application server, then based on the black box software testing, it is concluded that the software functionally runs well and produces results as expected. User testing conducted by students also shows the results as expected.
Ardi Saputra, Dayanah Zahfira, Honey Christine Sidabutar, Syanti Irviantina, Apriyanto Halim Copyright (c) 2024 Ardi Saputra, Dayanah Zahfira, Honey Christine Sidabutar, Syanti Irviantina, Apriyanto Halim https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://ejurnal.methodist.ac.id/index.php/methoda/article/view/3622 Tue, 31 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0700 Pengaruh Pupuk Organik Cair Gedebog Pisang Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Beberapa Jenis Tanaman Sayur https://ejurnal.methodist.ac.id/index.php/methoda/article/view/3670
The presence of banana stems (gedebog pisang) in Lubuklinggau City is often considered waste and is easily found. Processing banana stems is rarely practiced by the local community. The production of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) from banana stems aims to utilize this waste into something beneficial, particularly for vegetable crops. This study aims to investigate the effect of LOF made from banana stems on the growth and yield of several vegetable plants, such as water spinach (Ipomoea reptans Poir), green spinach (Amaranthus hybridus L), and mustard greens (Brassica juncea L). It also seeks to determine the impact of banana stem LOF on soil pH. The study employed a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with the following treatments: P0 – control (no fertilizer), P1 – base fertilizer NPK Mutiara 17:17:17, and P2 – banana stem LOF. The results indicated that the application of banana stem LOF (P2) influenced plant growth, including plant height and the number of leaves in water spinach, green spinach, and mustard greens. The effects of banana stem LOF were comparable to those of the synthetic NPK Mutiara fertilizer.
Widya Analisa, Febrina Nur Annisa Copyright (c) 2024 Widya Analisa, Febrina Nur Annisa https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://ejurnal.methodist.ac.id/index.php/methoda/article/view/3670 Tue, 31 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0700
