Program effectiveness was evaluated using pretest and posttest instruments administered to 85 participants. Results indicate a significant increase in legal awareness scores from an average of 42.5 to 78.3 (p < 0.01), with the highest improvement in knowledge of rights/obligations and compliance attitudes. A total of 24 consultation cases were successfully handled, primarily focusing on civil and village administration matters in a preventive manner. This community service activity tackled that challenge through a three-phase participatory mentoring program involving 25 BUMDes managers from three villages in Samosir Regency, North Sumatra namely BUMDes Marsada Tahi, BUMDes Hutanamora, and BUMDes Saoloan. The intervention progressed sequentially through a needs-assessment Forum Group Discussion (FGD), a two-day intensive SAK EMKM-focused workshop, and four rounds of direct field mentoring. Effectiveness was measured using a one-group pre-test–post-test design and analyzed with a paired-samples t-test. Findings revealed a highly significant improvement in mean knowledge scores from 42.6 to 79.3 (an 86.2% gain; t = −18.42; p < 0.001; df = 24). At program conclusion, 88% of participants had independently produced SAK EMKM-compliant financial statements encompassing income statements and statements of financial position. One strategy to support this goal is integrating environmental education with English language learning at the elementary school level. This community service activity aimed to strengthen students' character based on the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile through environment-based English learning at SD Abdi Sukma. The program was implemented using a participatory learning approach that included material presentation, group discussions, English vocabulary practice related to environmental topics, environmental observation, and simple school clean-up activities. The results showed that students demonstrated a better understanding of environmental conservation, improved their English vocabulary related to environmental issues, and developed positive values such as cooperation, responsibility, creativity, and environmental awareness. These findings indicate that environment-based English learning is an effective strategy for improving students' English language skills while fostering the character values embodied in the Pancasila Student Profile at the elementary school level.
2026-07-12T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Roikestina Silaban, Zulmawaty Zulmawaty, Dian Arisetya, Nirwana Bangun, Firman Daris Laiahttps://ejurnal.methodist.ac.id/index.php/methabdi/article/view/5863Assistance in the Preparation of SAK EMKM-Based Financial Statements for BUMDes in Supporting Sustainable Governance2026-06-29T17:42:48+07:00Januardi Mesakhjanuardisitinjak@gmail.comArthur Simanjuntakarthursimanjuntak1988@gmail.comMitha Christina Gintingmithachristina026@gmail.comFarida Sagalafarida.sagala@gmail.comLamria Sagalalamriasagala79@gmail.comIvo M. However, most BUMDes managers lack adequate understanding of financial statement preparation based on the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM). This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of BUMDes managers in preparing SAK EMKM-based financial statements to support sustainable financial governance. The methods used were direct mentoring and participatory training involving 25 BUMDes managers in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The activities were carried out in three stages: (1) socialization and problem identification, (2) financial statement preparation workshop, and (3) independent mentoring. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding, with the average pre-test score of 42.6 rising to 79.3 in the post-test. A total of 88% of participants successfully prepared simple financial statements in accordance with SAK EMKM standards. This activity contributes to improving the accountability and transparency of BUMDes management as the foundation for sustainable governance.
2026-07-12T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Januardi Mesakh, Arthur Simanjuntak, Mitha Christina Ginting, Farida Sagala, Lamria Sagala, Ivo M. The Sling Bag MSME in Bekasi experienced losses due to the lack of a structured cost recording system and suboptimal control of raw materials and labor. This activity aims to implement the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) method as a solution to improve production cost efficiency and help determine a more accurate cost of goods manufactured. The implementation method was carried out through observation, cost analysis, and simulation of the application of a simple ABC system. The results showed that the application of ABC was able to identify sources of cost waste, especially in excess raw materials and low labor productivity. Implementation of this system has the potential to increase cost efficiency by up to 10–15% and assist MSMEs in managerial decision-making.
2026-07-14T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Fadlan, Agus Ristonohttps://ejurnal.methodist.ac.id/index.php/methabdi/article/view/5871Peningkatan Literasi Keuangan Guru: Strategi Cerdas Mengelola Gaji dan Investasi Masa Depan di Yayasan Citra Mandiri Kabupaten Deli Serdang2026-06-29T19:54:15+07:00Petrus Looloo.petrus@eka-prasetya.ac.idRebecca Evadineloo.petrus@eka-prasetya.ac.idWilliam Sihombingloo.petrus@eka-prasetya.ac.idMonetarist Butar Butarloo.petrus@eka-prasetya.ac.idTogar Timoteus Gultomloo.petrus@eka-prasetya.ac.id
Teachers play a pivotal role in educating the nation, yet their financial well-being is often overlooked due to low financial literacy. The program partnered with teachers from the Citra Mandiri Foundation School in Deli Serdang. The methodology employed included a preliminary survey, a workshop session, a personal budgeting simulation, and a final evaluation. Results indicated an improvement in participants' financial understanding following the training. The initiative concludes that periodic financial education is crucial for fostering financial stability and professional peace of mind among educators.
2026-07-14T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Petrus Loo, Rebecca Evadine, William Sihombing, Monetarist Butar Butar, Togar Timoteus Gultom
