Abstract

Financial literacy is an essential skill for successful financial management, but students often find it difficult to apply financial theory due to a lack of practical experience. This service activity aims to improve the understanding and financial literacy skills of 32 students of Tri Ratna Sibolga High School by using a gamification approach, namely through the Jack Milyarder educational game, to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The methods used include giving a pre-test to measure initial knowledge, material exposure, interactive simulation using the game Jack Billionaire which teaches the concepts of investment, asset management, risk, and debt and ending with a post-test. The results showed a very significant improvement in all 10 financial literacy concepts tested. The results of the comparison of pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in the percentage of students who "Know" the concepts of financial literacy. This service activity succeeded in producing effective changes in improving the understanding of financial literacy of Tri Ratna Sibolga High School students. The use of Billionaire Game Jacks as a gamification tool has proven to be successful in bridging the initial knowledge gap and providing a better understanding of the important topics of financial literacy.
